The Health & Wellness Committee of the Northern First Nations Alliance (NFNA) is committed to improving the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our member Nations. We combine traditional healing with modern healthcare strategies to bridge critical gaps in care. Our focus is to develop community-led health solutions, including treatment and recovery services that reflect the cultural values of Indigenous peoples.

NFNA partners with Red Road Recovery and other Indigenous-led programs to provide culturally sensitive withdrawal, detox, and treatment services tailored to the needs of Indigenous youth, women, men, Elders, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Key Initiatives
The Legacy Project
A land-based treatment center and mobile outreach service that provides withdrawal management, detox, and aftercare programs in partnership with FNHA, Northern Health Authority, and the Ministry of Mental Health & Addictions. The goal is to ensure Indigenous-led care remains at the forefront of healing
